At Sulaiman & Co., we are committed to ensuring that women have the opportunity to build rewarding careers. Not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it’s a business issue that affects our bottom line. Our livelihood depends on our employing a diverse set of talented professionals, and we know that two people with different ideas are more valuable than twenty people who all think the same.
Women represent 40 percent of our employees, and our Women in the Profession initiative offers a variety of programs and services to help women achieve higher levels of leadership in their careers.
Sulaiman & Co. is one of Iraq's preeminent professional services firms. As professional advisers, we help our clients solve complex business problems and enhance their ability to build value, manage risk, and improve performance. As business advisors, we play a significant role in the operation of the world's capital markets.
We take pride in the fact that our services add value by helping to improve transparency, trust, and the consistency of business processes. In order to succeed, we must grow and develop, both as individuals and as a business. Our core values of excellence, teamwork, and leadership help us achieve this growth.
While we conduct our business within the framework of applicable professional standards, regulations, and internal policies, these cannot govern all types of behaviors. Conducting auditing activities in a country with widespread corruption can be sensitive, and the development of an employee code of ethics is key. At Sulaiman & Co, our code of ethics is the supreme rule governing all staff actions, and places integrity and honesty above all. Based on our values, this code allows our staff to demonstrate our ethics in action, while also providing a frame of reference for us as an organization when we encounter unfamiliar situations.
As a successful business in Iraq, we at Sulaiman & Co. recognize our need to give back to our community and our country. We participate in a range of corporate social responsibility activities, including:
Funding charity work that provides food and assistance to people in need;
Funding a free dental clinic;
Assisting widows and orphans;
Providing free educational business packages to startups.
